Insertion of the KANBAN Card
XEDION AG’s solutions have been designed as plug-and-play solutions so that the customer must ultimately position the product at the installation site and provide it with power. The clever software and the pre-configuration of the equipment ensure that all notifications will arrive in the XEDION computer center and will assign the portal from which you will get your login data.
The first step involves the user replacing an RFID KANBAN card into the bin system.
Scanning the KANBAN Card
The second step involves the RFID reader built into the equipment evaluating the data for the inserted KANBAN card. This means that the integrated software will query the status of the KANBAN card before final acceptance. Has the card become part of this process at all or has it been stored in the process at all? Is the article part of the process? Has a duplicate order been entered or are there similar issues? Only when this data has been correctly queried will the bin system accept the card and indicate proper entry in the system. If the card is in the wrong place, the bin system will not accept the card and it will remain in the bin, where it can easily be removed again by the user.
Manual Order Increases
Using the bin system, the integrated touch screen provides the ability to increase the part count for the product stored on the KANBAN card or otherwise make changes to the order.
Software & Display
In the background, the software will ensure correct entry of all orders and re-orders without delays. The touch display will display all of the steps to the user. Requests for special visualization or special entry line items can be added retroactively or modified at any time. All entries will be available immediately in the ERP system to their full extent.
Re-use of KANBAN Cards
The lower pane of the bin system can open the container with the replaced KANBAN cards using a locking feature, so that the card process can be re-started.
