KANBAN BINS
Functional Description
The principle is to record a paper record digitally and transfer the information gathered to the Xedion server, which is the reason for using the bin in this case. The equipment is mounted on the wall so that a worker can return the label for an empty bin without any problems.
Internal Process
Once the toggle switch has been used, the equipment must start up by itself and perform a functional check of the outputs. All of the LEDs will blink three times and then turn off again. The stopper will open and close once. As soon as the functionality has been successfully set, the green LED will start blinking.
Continuous Cycle
If a re-order card is inserted into the slot, a built-in sensor (1st sensor) will register this and a bolt in the equipment (stopper) will prevent the card from falling through. A drop in the signal from the first sensor will cause the scanner to scan. The orange LED will start blinking. As soon as the individual transponder has been detected in the 2nd or 3rd scanning cycles, the stopper will open, the card will fall past the 2nd sensor into a second bin and the data gathered will be transferred to the Xedion server.
The cycle ends once the data has been transferred to the server and the green LED will activate again.
Scanning more than one EPC will cause the red LED to blink and cancel the cycle. The first sensor must be released and the card will have to be re-inserted.
If the second sensor is not activated when the stopper opens, an entry will not be made and the record will be rejected. Deleting the record must be indicated by a red blinking LED.
If sending the scanned ID is not possible, several transfer attempts must be made and the red LED will be activated after the fifth failed attempt to transfer the data. The information may not be deleted thereby and must be transferred at the next possible point in time.
This state should continue for a period of time that can be set before the equipment will return to normal operation.
